How We Work

At Learn! Foundation, we believe that lasting change begins with collaboration and local ownership. Our organization is active in both the Netherlands and Kilifi, Kenya.
Two offices, one shared mission: empowering young people through education.

In Kenya, we are officially registered as Learn! Foundation CBO (Community-Based Organization).
Our Kenyan office in Kilifi is led with dedication and heart by Jackline Jumbe, together with her committed team members Fridahand Ann, they are our local eyes, ears, and voice within the community.

While our Dutch office focuses on fundraising and building partnerships, our Kenyan team is responsible for bringing the projects to life. Requests for support -whether it’s help with school fees, scholarships, parent engagement, or training programs- come directly from the community itself. These may be initiated by schools, parent committees, or individual families seeking educational support.

This bottom-up approach is at the core of who we are. We don’t decide from afar what a school or a child needs; instead, we listen carefully to those who know their situation best.

By doing so, every project is community-driven, relevant, and sustainable because the people we work with are not just beneficiaries, they are the owners of their own progress.
